To book your live painting, contact Linda Marie through the contact form on the "Contact Us" page, or email her directly at info@theweddingartist.org. She will first discuss with you your preferences and vision for the piece. You can choose a pose for the live painting, whether it be first dance, first kiss, first look, cake-cutting, or other pose. Linda will then gather your information regarding the venue where your live painting will be completed and other details. A contract will subsequently be drawn up and a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required to book your date. You will receive a copy of the contract once all parties have agreed to its terms and have signed the contract.
The remaining balance on your live painting will be due no later than 30 days before the date of your event.
You may pay 100% of the cost of your live painting at the time that the contract has been signed. Otherwise, a 50% non-refundable deposit will be required at the time of booking, with the remainder due no later than 30 days before your event.
Linda Marie will arrive at the venue where your event will be taking place 2-3 hours before the start time of your wedding or other event. She will set up her area and begin work on your live painting by painting the background. She will then capture your desired pose, as specified in your contract, and begin painting the details of the couple into the painting, as well as continuing to add details to the background. Guests may come up to chat about the painting during the night and Linda will happily engage with ! At the end of the evening, your live painting will be completed and the painting reveal will occur. Finally, you may take your completed live painting with you at the end of the event!
Yes! Linda creates her live paintings with acrylics, and will discuss the style you would like for your live painting at the time of booking, whether it be more impressionistic or more towards realism. She is committed to collaborating with you to create a painting that you will always cherish!
Guest portrait paintings are fast becoming the new wedding and party trend for providing custom favors to your guests! Prices start at $900 and will depend on the duration of your event as well as how many guests will be in attendance. Guest portraits will be created with pen, colored ink, and/or watercolors. As many 4" x 6" portraits as possible will be created during the event for guests who desire one, and there are pricing options for events with a larger attendance, where Linda can complete a number of portraits in her home studio after the event, to be mailed to you up to 2 weeks after the event. You may choose to include these portraits in your thank you cards when you send them out! Contact Linda for details regarding specific pricing for your event.
Having a live painter at your wedding or other event will add that unique, memorable touch to your celebration. It will provide another form of entertainment for your guests, and you will leave your event with a live painting that is one-of-a-kind, and a beautiful reminder of your special day, to cherish for always!
While based in Connecticut, Linda will travel anywhere in New England (CT, MA, RI, NH, VT, and Maine), as well as NewYork, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, based on her availability. Travel outside of CT may incur a travel fee, which will be discussed at the initial contact.
